Today KS2 children enjoyed fun maths activities in our parent workshop.

We are pleased to offer a free Year R parent workshop on Tuesday 10th November from 1:00-3:00pm. Places are limited, so if you would like to attend, please register with the school office as soon as possible.

We're looking forward to welcoming the children to our School Disco this afternoon! Years 1, 2 & 3 - 4:00pm - 5:00pm Years 4, 5 & 6 - 5:15pm - 6:15pm Please remember that children must be collected from school at the end of the disco unless we have received written or verbal permission for them to walk home independently. If you would like to give permission, please contact the school office by calling 02392 341133 or email . Tickets can still be purchased via Arbor. Alternatively, tickets will be available on the door for £3 cash. We can't wait for an afternoon of music, dancing and lots of fun! 🎶

Earlier this term, we shared our exciting plans to review and develop the vision, values and mission statement of Cottage Grove Primary School. As part of this process, we are keen to hear from all members of our school community, and your views are incredibly important to us. Your feedback will help guide the future development of our school and ensure that our vision and values reflect the hopes and aspirations we all share for our children. The deadline to purchase a ticket for our school disco has now been extended to Monday 19th October. Please be aware that you need to purchase a ticket for your child if they want to attend. Tickets cost £3 and can be purchased through the Arbor app, where it is listed under School Trips. If you have technical issues making the purchase, please let the school office staff know as soon as possible so they can help you.

A message from our Year 6 team: After the October half-term break, Year 6 have a Design & Technology unit all about repurposing fabric. We will be practising different stitches and are in need of pieces of fabric. If you have any old fabric (clothing, tea towels, muslins) which you no longer need and wouldn't mind us cutting up to use, we would appreciate it so much! As we'll be cutting and sewing it, we really do not mind the quality of these items. Any donations, please bring to Belmont building. Your support makes a real difference!

A reminder that the deadline to purchase your child's school disco ticket is this Friday, 16th October. Tickets can be purchased through Arbor, where it is listed under School Trips. If you have any issues with Arbor, please let the school office know and they will help you.

Bookings open for the Kids with Bricks After-School Club for Years 2-6 tomorrow, Wednesday 14th October at 12:00 midday. Booking are made online through www.kidswithbricks.com .

Premier Education will be running a Dance Club for KS2 children at our school between 5th November and 17th December from 15:15-16:15pm. It costs £6 per session. If you're interested, have a look at this flyer for details on how to book your child's sessions.

Our E Safety theme this half term has been Privacy and Security. We have learnt about making sure we have safe passwords and which bits of personal information we should not share online.

Well Done to this week's Stars of the Week! 🌟

Today we celebrated World Mental Health Day and wore crazy hats or hairstyles to make each other smile. We will also enjoy half an hour happy time to boost our mental health. This will involve doing something fun to make us happy. We hope we made you smile with our pictures too! 😊
